چکیده

One of the biggest problems with controlling complex systems is that they are not very responsive to external signals unless an overwhelming control force is applied; otherwise the response is usually small and irregular. The response of harmonic oscillators to random input is typically very small as well, but if the driving force has a certain frequency (the resonance or resonant frequency), then the response can be extremely pronounced (resonance). When a dynamical system is driven at its resonance frequency, its energy absorption peaks, and the resulting pattern of absorption (and frequently its subsequent emission) form the ‘fingerprints’ used in spectroscopic identification. X-ray spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and other spectroscopic techniques employ resonances to identify cancer tissue, crystals, molecules, and the parts of the nucleus of atoms with high resolution.

Resonant forcing of multidimensional chaotic map dynamics.

We study resonances of chaotic map dynamics. We use the calculus of variations to determine the additive forcing function that induces the largest response. We find that resonant forcing functions complement the separation of nearby trajectories, in that the product of the displacement of nearby trajectories and the resonant forcing is a conserved quantity. As a consequence, the resonant functi...

آشکارسازی تغییرات بارش‌های حدی و نسبت دهی به تغییر اقلیم با استفاده از روش استاندارد انگشت نگاشت بهینه (مطالعه موردی : جنوب غرب ایران)

Understanding the changes in extreme precipitation over a region is very important for adaptation strategies to climate change. One of the most important topics in this field is detection and attribution of climate change. Over the past two decades, there has been an increasing interest for scientists, engineers and policy makers to study about the effects of external forcing to the climatic va...

Conservative chaotic flow generated via a pseudo-linear system

Analysis of nonlinear autonomous systems has been a popular field of study in recent decades. As an interesting nonlinear behavior, chaotic dynamics has been intensively investigated since Lorenz discovered the first physical evidence of chaos in his famous equations. Although many chaotic systems have been ever reported in the literature, a systematic and qualitative approach for chaos generat...

Determining optimal distance from outlet of auxiliary forcing ventilation system to development of heading in underground mines

Auxiliary ventilation of the blind development heading in underground mines is one of the most challenging work activities amongst mining underground operations. The auxiliary forcing ventilation system provides positive pressure, cooling, controlling gas layering, and removing diesel fumes and dust levels from development headings, stopes, and services facilities. The effectiveness of the auxi...

Design and Simulation of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Based Controller for Chaotic Lorenz System

Chaos is a nonlinear behavior that shows chaotic and irregular responses to internal and external stimuli in dynamic systems. This behavior usually appears in systems that are highly sensitive to initial condition. In these systems, stabilization is a highly considerable tool for eliminating aberrant behaviors. In this paper, the problem of stabilization and tracking the chaos are investigated....
